Brunels iconic Clifton Supsension bridge is only a short 20 minute drive from Milton's Lodge, the bridge is located on the edge of the South side of Bristol with easy access from the A370.

We recommend basing your self outside of the "White lion pub and restaurant" and from here you can walk up and over the bridge in under 10 minutes. A slight further walk up the hill to "the Downs" (Bristols largest park) you will find the Clifton Observatory hidden away overlooking the bridge. The observatory offers incredible views of the Bridge and surrounding gorge (its not 100% necessary to pay to go in) but if you want to walk down into the cliff then a small fee is payable.

Clifton is a small village in the South side of Bristol. Famous for the Suspension Bridge, however the Village has tonnes to offer, - amazing restaurants, shops, parks and bars.

Kids park in Clifton

Directly adjacent to the Mall at the top of Clifton near the suspension bridge, there is a great kids park hidden in a forest like area, kids love to play on the rocks and slide down part of the gorge from the observatory.

Clifton is on the South Side of Bristol and Milton's Lodge is on the South side of Bristol, therefore its the quickest side of Bristol to be in (and definately the nicests). The white lion pub is part of the Avon Gorge Hotel, open to the public so anyone can enjoy the terrace and views whilst have a drink or a nice meal.
